Located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, Paperbox Lofts features one of the most sophisticated outdoor automated parking systems in the region. The system consists of three independent, 7-level puzzle parking towers, each 6 spaces wide, delivering a combined 108 parking spaces in just 3,150 sq. ft.—a staggering space-saving alternative to the 17,280 sq. ft. (plus drive lanes) conventional parking would require.

Each tower is fully electric, exterior-rated, and engineered for a mix of SUVs, sedans, and crossovers, with full enclosures and integrated rooftop structures.

Project Highlights

 Original Design Lead – Ernesto Chavarria (now CEO of The Trivial Company) helped design the system while working at CityLift, who originally sold and delivered the project.

 Completion by The Trivial Company – After the project was left incomplete, the original installers—now part of Trivial—stepped in to finish the job. This included:

• Final mechanical installation
• All motor and control wiring
• Electronics, programming, and system testing
• Integration of RAUL™️ for remote diagnostics
• Development and implementation of Winter Mode
• Coordination for ETL field inspection and certification

Since taking over, The Trivial Company has maintained and supported the system, ensuring its long-term performance and reliability.
